Here’s something that might blow your mind: every body has rolls.
Yep—mine. Yours. The woman you see on Instagram who looks “perfect.” We all have them. Rolls are literally just your body bending, moving, or existing like it’s supposed to.
I recently took a few photos of myself at the beach that prove this point better than any motivational quote ever could. Same day. Same bikini. Same body. The only difference? A shift in pose.
In one image, you see rolls. In another, I look “smooth.” Both are true. Both are real. And neither one defines my worth (or yours).
A photo is just 1/8000th of a second frozen in time. It doesn’t capture the full story of your body. It doesn’t tell the truth about your strength, your softness, or your beauty.
It simply shows how your body looked at that exact angle, in that exact pose, under that exact light. That’s it.
But what do we do? We obsess. We tear ourselves apart. We let one unflattering photo convince us that we’re not good enough.
Here’s the reality: your body isn’t the problem. The pose, the lighting, the camera angle—that’s what makes the difference.
Your stomach rolls when you sit. Your thighs squish when you cross your legs. Your arms fold when you hug yourself. That’s not a flaw—it’s proof you’re human.
The next time you catch yourself spiraling over a photo, I want you to pause and ask:
Because that’s what we’re really comparing ourselves to—a highlight reel of perfectly posed moments.
This is exactly why I love boudoir photography. When you’re in my studio, I guide you into poses that show off your body in the most flattering way. But more importantly—I show you both sides of the story.
Yes, I’ll capture the smooth, sexy, “hell yes” angles. But I’ll also remind you that your rolls, your softness, your squish—that’s all part of what makes you you.
You don’t need to erase your body. You need to see it for what it really is: beautiful, strong, and worthy of being celebrated.
Every body has rolls. And rolls are normal. Stop letting a single photo convince you that you’re less than. You’re not.
Ready to see yourself through a new lens? Let’s create images that show the whole story of your body—flattering, real, and completely you.
